A Minnesota college freshman from Coon Rapids remains hospitalized after a Saturday bus crash in Pennsylvania that killed two, the Associated Press reports.

Players and coaches for the Seton Hill University women's lacrosse team were among the 23 people on the bus that crashed into a tree after it veered off the Pennsylvania Turnpike outside Harrisburg, according to news reports. The team had been headed to a game at Millersville University. The cause of the crash is under investigation.

The team's head coach, Kristina Quigley, 30, who was pregnant, was killed. So was the bus driver, Anthony Guaetta, 61.

One of two victims airlifted to Penn State Hershey Medical Center was Amanda Michalski, of Coon Rapids, who remained there Sunday, although little other information was released. She's a freshman attacker on the team.

Coon Rapids High School lacrosse coach Jeff DeJoy told the Pioneer Press that her parents, Gary and Gretchen Michalski of Coon Rapids, rushed to be with their only child in Pennsylvania.

“I got a text about 11 o’ clock yesterday morning,” Anne Moelk, who had coached Michalski on the Minnesota Lakers elite lacrosse team, told WCCO. “The latest that we had heard was a broken arm and a lacerated liver, and that she is still in the hospital.”

Moelk told KARE 11 that Michalski was known as a player for remaining positive even in the most difficult times.
