Friends and classmates of 14-year-old Anna Bird are sharing their grief on social media today, following the sudden death of the Prior Lake High School student.

Bird was killed when the car she was riding in Thursday night left the road and struck a tree, WCCO reports. The station notes two other teens – an 18-year-old male driver and a 15-year-old female passenger – were in the car as well.

The Scott County Sheriff says the driver lost control of the car, according to FOX 9. The two surviving teens were "critically injured" and are being treated at the Hennepin County Medical Center.

According to KARE 11, officials with the Prior Lake-Savage School District say counselors are available to mourning students. However, many are turning to Twitter, where they're bidding farewell to the lacrosse and hockey player:

There will be a memorial service at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Savage at 6 pm tonight.
