Cooler, drier weather breezes in for weekend
After a sweltering three-day heat wave, forecasters say most of Minnesota will enjoy a more comfortable weekend.
It hit 94 degrees with high humidity in the Twin Cities on Thursday, and Friday will be muggy, too. For the first time in a decade, Duluth had three 90-degree days in a row, the Duluth News Tribune reported.
But dew points around Minnesota will drop this afternoon, overnight and into Saturday morning, KARE 11 reports. The temperature will drop to 64 degrees overnight in the metro, FOX 9 reports.
KARE's "Cabincast" showed high temperatures in the 70s across the state on Saturday and Sunday. Spotty thunderstorms are possible statewide Sunday, KARE says.
Next week, temps are not expected to reach back into the 90s, WCCO reports.
