The Coon Rapids Police Department is investigating a video sent to them that the department says shows children using drugs.

In a statement posted to social media, Coon Rapids police said: "This morning we were made aware of a video involving children and drug use floating around the internet."

"We received many reports via social media, and we would like you to know that we are actively investigating, and with the suspect," it added.

The video hasn't been made public by police, but commenters on Coon Rapids Police Department's Facebook page say the video shows a 14 year old girl making a 7-year-old girl smoke marijuana.

The commenter, which the department responded to by saying "the right people are involved," noted that there is also a baby on the bed in the video.

"We want to remind you that our social media pages are not always monitored, and if you see something like this, to be sure to call 9-1-1 as well as letting us know through social media," Coon Rapids police added.
