Cottage Grove man killed in head-on crash near Stillwater

A 31-year-old man died Friday night in a head-on crash in Stillwater. 

A release from the Washington County Sheriff's Office says the head-on collision happened just before 7:30 p.m. on Manning Ave. North, approximately four miles north of Hwy. 36 in Stillwater Township.

The 31-year-old man from Cottage Grove was taken to Regions Hospital but did not survive his injuries. 

The driver of the other vehicle, a 29-year-old woman from Lindstrom, was also transported to Regions Hospital where her conditions is unknown.

Identities of the two drivers are being withheld pending notification of family members. 

Fatal crash in southwest Minnesota

A 55-year-old man from Worthington died in a head-on collision with a semi just before 1 p.m. Friday. 

Minnesota State Patrol says the Worthington man was driving a 2005 Ford F-150 on Hwy. 91 when he crossed over the center line and hit a semi head-on. Alcohol was detected on the man. 

The driver of the semi was not injured suffered injuries that were not considered life-threatening.
