Couple wake to find masked robbers in their bedroom

A couple in Albert Lea awoke to the terrifying sight of a pair of robbers inside their bedroom, one of whom was armed.

The incident was reported at 3 a.m. Wednesday at a home in the area of 101 8th Avenue North.

The two victims were sleeping when they were awoken by two suspects in their room, with one wielding a handgun.

They were then pulled from their bed and physically assaulted.

The suspects demanded money, and left with an undisclosed amount of cash as they fled the scene.

Police later found signs of forced entry into the home.

One of the suspects is described as a heavy set man around 5'6" tall, weighing around 300 lbs, with lighter skin/possible Hispanic, and his face was covered with a mask.

The second suspect was a male around 6' tall, whose face was also covered with a mask.
