Four people, two of them children, were killed in a crash south of the Twin Cities late Sunday.
A Ford SUV with seven occupants, all of them from California, was traveling on a county road in Sharon Township around 11:30 p.m., according to the Le Sueur County Sheriff's Office. At County Road 15 and County Road 22, the SUV crashed into a Chevy pickup that was being driven by a Le Sueur man.
The collision killed four of the occupants in the Ford SUV:
- The driver, John St. John, 54.
- Jill St. John, 56.
- A 13-year-old girl.
- A 9-year-old boy.
The remaining three occupants all suffered injuries:
- Jane Wooster, 41, was taken to HCMC.
- A 15-year-old boy was taken to HCMC.
- A 7-year-old boy was taken to Children's Hospital.
Their conditions were not provided by the sheriff's office.
The 41-year-old make driver of the Chevy was taken to MCHS Mankato. His condition was not provided.
The Le Sueur County Sheriff’s Office and Minnesota State Patrol are investigating, though initial indications are alcohol was not a factor.
