Roads in the Twin Cities are in much better conditions Monday morning than they were during heavy snow on Sunday, which led to numerous accidents including a 17-vehicle crash on Interstate 694 in Shoreview.

The crash forced a closure of 694 eastbound from Victoria Street to Rice Street in Vadnais Heights for more than an hour on Sunday afternoon.

Fortunately, there weren't any serious injuries in that 17-vehicle mess, according to the Minnesota State Patrol, which wound up responding to a whopping 375 crashes and 395 spinouts from 6 a.m. till 8:30 p.m.

An even bigger pileup was caught on camera on I-94 near Osseo, Wisconsin, which is southeast of Eau Claire. According to the Wisconsin State Patrol, the crash involved seven semis and 33 other vehicles.

There were seven injuries in the pileup, including one life-threatening injury.
