City water is being tested and four municipal wells closest to the spill have been removed from service as a precaution. The Minnesota Pollution Control Agency estimates the gasoline still in the soil is several hundred feet above the nearest city well.

Crews continue to battle BWCA fire
Ground crews are still battling the Cummings Lake fire Monday near the Boundary Waters Canoe Area Wilderness. The fire, which started Sunday afternoon, is now about 20 acres in size and is located in a lowland area about 12 miles northwest of Ely. Five aircraft were attacking a 50-acre fire in the Boundary Waters Canoe Area on Sunday night not far from Ely, the Duluth News Tribune reports. Crews were on their way to the remote site.
Gas prices hit $4 a gallon in Minnesota
Prices for a gallon of gasoline in the Bemidji area are among some of the highest in the country according to AAA. Spokeswoman Gail Weinholzer tells Minnesota Public Radio that Hurricane Isaac as well as a pipeline problem in Wisconsin and refinery problems in Chicago have bumped prices up at the pump. Minnesota's average is $3.95, which is eight cents higher than the national average.
