Cruelty charges against horse breeder dropped over lack of warrant

Thirty-five counts of animal cruelty charges filed against an East Bethel horse breeder have been dismissed by a judge who ruled the man's property was searched without a warrant.

NV Arabian Horse Ranch was once home to more than sixty horses but a majority have been removed because of neglect. The ranch owned by Lowell Friday has been on the radar of the Amimal Humane Society for more than a decade. In the late summer of last year the Society had ten horses removed from the ranch.
