Death of woman found injured in Bloomington street ruled homicide, victim ID'd

The 26-year-old died shortly after arriving at HCMC.

Authorities have identified the woman found in a Bloomington street on Thursday with injuries that later proved fatal, and say her death was the result of a homicide.

Genevieve Skouge, 26, was found outside 7915 2nd Avenue South just before midnight on Thursday, and she died in the early hours of Friday morning at Hennepin County Medical Center.

The Hennepin County Medical Examiner's Office confirmed on Monday that Skouge died from "multiple blunt force injuries and manner of death is homicide."

Her death is now the subject of an investigation by the Bloomington Police Department.

At this stage, there is no information available regarding any suspects.
