Report: Hecker to be transfered again

Officials with the U.S. Bureau of Corrections told the Star Tribune that Denny Hecker isn’t done traveling yet. They declined to say where he’ll be moved next. The former Twin Cities auto-mogul was at a federal prison in Terre Haute, Indiana, Friday afternoon. Authorities in Duluth recently took him out of the prison’s general population before he was transferred to a medium-security facility near Madison, Wisconsin, Thursday.

Denny Hecker moved to 6th prison

For the sixth time in five months, Denny Hecker has a new home. The convicted Twin Cities auto dealer is now housed at the Federal Correctional Institution in Loretto, Pa., according to the U.S. Bureau of Prisons. Loretto is a low-security facility that also has an adjacent minimum-security prison camp, according to its online profile.

Hecker worries confinement could be step toward traditional prison

And "if that happens," a longtime friend tells the Star Tribune, "[Denny] is history." The Pioneer Press reported earlier that Hecker has been segregated from the general population at the Duluth Federal Prison Camp and banned from social activities including work and recreation.
