Denny Hecker moved to yet another prison, this time in Okla.
Disgraced former Twin Cities auto mogul Denny Hecker has been moved to yet another prison facility, his eighth prison in 14 months, the Star Tribune reports.
Hecker was last moved just a few weeks ago to the Canaan Penitentiary near Scranton, Pa.
Hecker is now at what's described as a transfer center in Oklahoma, which means he likely will be moved again, the Star Tribune reports. Prison officials declined to explain the moves or say where Hecker is headed next.
Observers have noted that sometimes prisoners who get moved around a lot have discipline problems. Experts say it could also be for medical reasons or perhaps prison officials are moving him to a facility with certain services.
The Star Tribune has a map graphic that shows the long trail that Hecker has traveled on his path through the prison system.
Hecker is serving a 10-year sentence for bankruptcy fraud. He was sentenced in February 2011 and taken to the Duluth federal prison camp, but he was moved in February 2012. That was about the time Hecker's wife, Christi Rowan Hecker, was released from a prison halfway house.
She had served 12 months for fraud.
