Fog is causing some serious issues in Minnesota Monday morning.

There's a dense fog warning for nearly the entire state, the National Weather Service says, with visibility in some spots down to a quarter mile or less. It lasts until 10 a.m. for all the areas affected (which is all the gray counties in the photo to the right).

What's it impacted?

Well Gov. Mark Dayton was supposed to visit Luverne and Edgerton to talk about water quality issues in the southwest region of the state. But the "dangerous flying conditions" due to the fog forced the office to cancel his trip.

Meanwhile in north-central Minnesota and Wadena County, the State Patrol says "multiple vehicles" were involved in a crash on Highway 10 around 5:45 a.m. It closed eastbound traffic there for a time.

Sgt. Jesse Grabow tweeted it was "very foggy," and said there were "several injuries," though the extent of them isn't known.

Here's a shot from Interstate 90 in Beaver Creek Monday morning, in far southwest Minnesota.

And another near Canton:

And in the region overall, fog is forcing some airlines to cancel flights.

ABC 7 in Chicago said there were 100 flights cancelled at the city's Midway Airport due to fog and rain.
