Deputies arrive at Dassel crash site to find driver holding seriously injured passenger
First responders arrived to the scene of a rollover in Meeker County late Wednesday to find the vehicle's driver holding a seriously injured, unresponsive passenger.
The Meeker County Sheriff's Office said the one-vehicle crash happened around 11:38 p.m. at the intersection of 728th Avenue and 220th Street in Dassel Township.
At the scene, responders found a 30-year-old man from Grove City, identified as the driver, holding an unresponsive passenger. That passenger, a 31-year-old woman from Dassel, was airlifted to Hennepin County Medical Center with serious injuries, the sheriff's office said.
Deputies believe the driver drove through the intersection and off the road, resulting in the vehicle rolling. The man was taken to county jail on suspicion of driving under the influence.
