The latest episode of the "Dialogue Minnesota" podcast features part two of Jim du Bois' interview with University of Minnesota Economics Professor Timothy Kehoe.

In the last episode, Kehoe provided expertise on the trade deal between the U.S., Canada and Mexico that President Donald Trump signed, which will have a big impact on Minnesota agriculture.

In part two, Kehoe and du Bois address the ongoing trade wars and the impacts of tariffs on Minnesota farmers and retailers.

"Trade war is going to force them to search for new suppliers or have them drastically increase their prices," Kehoe said of businesses like Target and Best Buy.

They also discuss General Motors' plans to close plants in the U.S. and lay off thousands of workers.
