After nearly three hours of searching, the body of a 13-year-old girl was pulled from a lake in Chanhassen on Saturday.
The 13-year-old girl, from Bloomington, was reported missing by family members at 3:39 p.m., according to the Carver County Sheriff's Office.
The girl had last been seen on a float attached to a couple of boats that were anchored together on Lake Minnewashta, near the 3600 block of Red Cedar Point Road.
The county dive team was called into action and they located the child at approximately 6:25 p.m. She was found in about 13 feet of water.
The girl's name has not been released.
Assisting in the search were the Chanhassen, Chaska, Victoria, Shakopee and the Mdewakaton Sioux fire departments, the Hennepin County Sheriff's Office Water Patrol and the Minnesota DNR.
