Dogs poisoned by sausage treats laced with unknown substance in Wisconsin
Police in a Wisconsin community are seeking the person responsible for leaving dog treats laced with an unknown but probably harmful substance around the neighborhood.
The police department in Lake Hallie, northeast of Eau Claire, has posted pictures of sausages found in yards around the neighborhood that have been filled with the substance and then wrapped in floss. Residents reported that dogs that had eaten them were sick as a result.
The PD has posted pictures on Facebook that show a white substance placed on the inside of the sausages.
It has also released night-vision camera images of the person suspected of being responsible for the tainted hotdogs.
The images were taken from a trail camera in the area.
Dog owners are being advised not to let their pet ingest any suspicious-looking food found around the town.
Anyone with information about the person responsible should call police.
