2 dead after head-on collision in Eagan Monday morning

Two people are dead following a two-vehicle crash in Eagan Monday morning. 

Eagan Police Department says both drivers were killed in a crash at Johnny Cake Ridge and Sherwood Way. 

"This was a two car crash and no passengers were involved. Roads will remain closed for several hours as officers work in the area," Eagan Police Department announced just after 7:45 a.m. 

The roads opened around 10 a.m.. 

KSTP reports that police have identified the victims as Cory H. Hoesley, 33, of Hudson, Wisconsin, and Pamela A. Schmidt, 66, of Apple Valley

The cause of the crash is under investigation.
