Dozens of firefighters were on the scene of a large fire at a Minneapolis lumberyard late Saturday night.

The fire started at Shaw Stewart Lumber on Northeast Johnson Street around 11 p.m., flames and smoke could be scene from Interstate 35W, the Star Tribune reports.

“A lot of smoke and by the time we got the gate open, a lot of fire was pouring of it,” battalion chief Steven Dziedzic told WCCO. “At that point, we tried to cut off the fire from the other buildings there."

About 35 firefighters were battling the 3-alarm blaze, the Star Tribune says.

Part of the one-story warehouse collapsed, but firefighters were able to save other buildings on the property.

Dziedzic told KARE 11 the hardest part of battling the fire was keeping flames from spreading to other parts of the lumberyard.

Crews worked into Sunday morning to put out hotspots, KSTP notes.

No injuries have been reported, the fire department tweeted.
