Dozens of gunshots fired at party bus in Bloomington
About two dozen gunshots were fired at an occupied party bus in Bloomington early Wednesday, resulting in "several" bullet holes in the vehicle.
The Bloomington Police Department said in a news release it received a report of shots fired in a parking lot on the 8300 block of Normandale Boulevard (just off 494 and south of Highway 100) around 12:30 a.m.
Police believe the bus arrived at that site with "multiple passengers" onboard. Those passengers got off, then returned shortly after — at which point about two dozen gunshots were fired in the direction of the bus.
Police said some people were on the bus at the time, while others were nearby.
But when officers arrived at the scene, they said the bus was "unoccupied." They found the bus in the lot, with bullet holes in the vehicle's glass and body.
Police said no injuries have been reported, but they're asking anyone with information about the shooting to call the department at 952-563-4900.
