A 31-year-old man died when he was traveling on Highway 169 in North Mankato before striking a parked vehicle.
The unbelted motorist, identified by the State Patrol as 31-year-old Brandon P. Kath, of Faribault, was driving a 2007 Cadillac Escalade southbound on Hwy. 169 when he left the roadway and struck an SUV that was parked in a parking lot.
The collision resulted in the Escalade rolling. Kath was pronounced dead at the scene, the State Patrol said.
The parked vehicle was unoccupied at the time of the impact, which happened just before 5:40 a.m. Friday.
No further information has been released.
