Driver, 59, killed in head-on crash in Plymouth

Plymouth Police Department has confirmed that a driver died in a collision in the Twin Cities suburb on Thursday evening.

The crash happened just before 6:30 p.m. at County Road 101 and 24th Avenue North.

One vehicle was traveling southbound on 101, while a second vehicle was traveling north.

The second vehicle crossed the centerline and struck the southbound vehicle. The driver of the southbound car was killed.

He has not been identified, but police say he is a 59-year-old man from Watertown, Minnesota.

The driver of the other vehicle, a 32-year-old man, was taken to North Memorial Hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

Police continue to investigate the crash.
