A Minnesota man was killed in a crash involving the SUV he was driving and a logging truck on the Iron Range.
The crash happeend Tuesday around 10:15 a.m. on Hwy. 169 at County Road 450 north of Hill City, with the State Patrol reporting that 69-year-old Michael A. Brandt, of Deerwood, was driving a Ford Explorer north on Hwy. 169 when he crossed the center line and made contact with the left side of a southbound logging truck.
Brandt died at the scene, the State Patrol said. The driver of the semi tractor, a 59-year-old Grand Rapids man, was not injured.
