Driver dies as vehicle plunges 35 feet from bridge in Superior, Wisconsin
The driver of a vehicle that crashed off a bridge in Superior, Wisconsin, died on Monday.
According to the Wisconsin State Patrol, a 60-year-old Superior man was driving westbound on Belknap Street/Hwy. 2 around 8:15 a.m. when his vehicle went over the north side of the bridge railing and fell approximately 35 feet to the ground.
The crash happened about a half-mile west of Hwy. 35 and roads were covered in ice at the time.
The name of the driver has not been released and an investigation is ongoing.
Superior Police Department, Superior Fire Department and Gold Cross Ambulance assisted after the crash.
