A woman driving in the wrong direction was killed in a crash near St. Cloud late Friday night.

The Minnesota State Patrol says a Nissan Altima driven by a 31-year-old woman from Avon, Minnesota was traveling westbound in the eastbound lanes of Hwy. 10 when it struck a Ford pickup truck near the 100th Ave. SE intersection in Clear Lake Township.

The driver of the truck suffered injuries that were not considered life-threatening and was transported to St. Cloud Hospital for treatment.

The State Patrol is still investigating but says alcohol was likely a factor in the crash.

The name of the victim has not been identified.
