A 21-year-old driver was killed on Hwy. 169 in the Twin Cities after getting out of his car, and being struck by an SUV.
The incident happened on northbound 169 at Anderson Lakes Parkway in Bloomington around 4:03 a.m. Saturday, according to the Minnesota State Patrol.
The driver of a Ford Focus, a 21-year-old man from Baltimore, came to a stop in the right lane of the highway and got out of the vehicle.
After getting out, he was struck by a northbound Toyota Rav4 driven by a Bloomington man.
The passenger in the Focus, an 18-year-old woman from Heron Lake, was not injured.
The victim's details are expected to be released later on Saturday.
