Drunk-driver's SUV bursts into flames after slamming into police officer's car
A suspected drunk-driver was arrested after slamming into a squad car belonging to Osseo Police Department.
The Minnesota Department of Public Safety posted details about the incident on Tuesday, writing that a state trooper and the two Osseo officers were conducting a traffic stop when an impaired driver "speeding and out of control" slammed into one of their squad cars.
The force of her slamming into the squad car caused it to crash into two other vehicles, sparking a fire.
"Despite the danger, the officers acted swiftly and pulled the impaired driver – whose blood alcohol content was 0.13 – to safety as flames engulfed her car," the post read.
Minnesota's legal limit for blood-alcohol content while driving is 0.08.
The woman was arrested at the scene, and no significant injuries were reported.
