An assault of a Kwik Trip employee that was caught on video is the subject of an investigation by Duluth Police Department.

The incident happened just after 10:30 p.m. on Saturday, May 30, at the Kwik Trip located at 27th Ave. W. – just west of Interstate 35 and not far from the shore of Lake Superior.

One juvenile male, whose age hasn't been released, was identified and arrested in connection to the assault. The video shows at least three people punching and kicking the employee. Police are asking the public to contact them to help identity the others in the video.

Warning: The video contains graphic violence.

More than 1,000 people protesting the death of George Floyd in Minneapolis marched along Interstate 35 on Saturday, with Chief of Police Mike Tusken telling the Star Tribune that the unrest was unprecedented.
