Duluth woman who didn't return home found dead

A Duluth woman who was reported missing early Friday has been found dead, according to Duluth Police Department. 

Helen Marie Goods, 79, was reported missing around 12:30 a.m. Friday after Duluth Police Department was informed that Goods had left her residence in the 600 block of North 8th Ave. on foot around 7:30 p.m. Thursday and hadn't returned home. 

Police sent out an alert to keep an eye out for her, describing Goods as 5-foot-4, 170 pounds having last been seen wearing jeans, a striped black and blue shirt, and a black winter coat with fur around the hood. 

Police were increasingly concerned for her welfare because she had dementia. 

Details about where Goods was found and how she died have not been provided.
