Sewing the future: Dunwoody brings dying trade back to life
As more American shoppers look for "Made in the USA" labels, there's a growing demand for workers trained in long-forgotten trades.
KARE 11 says this has pushed Dunwoody College of Technology in Minneapolis to revive its industrial sewing program, which was last offered in the 1940s.
CNN says the 22-weeek class includes on-the-job training and a paid internship with a Twin Cities company that could lead to a full-time job.
