Eagan singer advances on NBC's 'The Voice'
Eagan native Nicholas David Mrozinski advanced to the next round on NBC's hit show "The Voice." The Pioneer Press reports the singer/songwriter used the name Nicholas David and performed Ben E. King's classic "Stand by Me" to attract the interest of judge Cee Lo Green.
Mronzinski has a series of self-released albums and was a regular performer at St. Paul's Happy Gnome and Palmer's Bar and Whisky Junction in Minneapolis, the newspaper says.
Here's video of David's performance on NBC:
This is not the first Minnesota artist to advance on the show. Minneapolis singer Tim Mahoney made it through the initial round but was eliminated in the first season. Forest Lake native Jordis Unga made it to the quarterfinals in the show's second season.
