Authorities are hoping an offer of reward money will help lead to the capture of a pair of gas station robbers.

The robbery took place Thursday evening at the Speedway at 5401 France Ave. S., where the two suspects were caught on camera entering the store before allegedly holding the cashier at knifepoint and demanding money.

A news release from the city of Edina describes both suspects as Black men, one wearing a "dark hoodie, dark pants and pink Croc shoes" and the other a "blue hooded sweatshirt with a dark jacket, blue jeans with rips, and white shoes."

Both had on surgical masks — the kind required for entry into most establishments due to COVID-19 — at the time of the robbery.

The two men fled the scene after the crime and have not been seen since. The release says the cashier was treated for minor injuries related to the incident.

The Edina Crime Prevention Fund is now offering a $1,000 reward for information that leads to the arrest and charging of the suspects.

Anyone who may know something about the crime or the suspects is urged to contact the Edina Police Department at 952-826-1600. The release says your identity may remain confidential.
