"The incident has been resolved peacefully and there is no need to shelter in place," Edina PD said.

No details as to what occurred have been released yet.

Few details are available but Edina Police Department issued an alert regarding a developing situation Wednesday afternoon on the 6000 block of Eden Prairie Road. 

Edina police tweeted: "Edina PD is responding to an incident on the 6000 block of Eden Prairie Road. Please shelter in place if you are in the immediate area. Updates will be posted on social media when available."

No further information has been released. 

The 6000 block of Eden Prairie Road is located just north of Vernon Avenue South, and not far from the north end of Bredesen Park.
