A group of elementary students found a body of a person in the woods near their Duluth school on Friday morning.
According to the Associated Press, the children were told that the body was a Halloween decoration. Parents were informed about the situation, and social workers will be available at the school all week for any children who need additional resources.
A teacher with the students "immediately took the students back to school" and called police, according to the Duluth News Tribune.
The incident happened near Lowell Elementary, the Tribune reports.
A police spokesperson told KARE 11 that the body was likely that of a person who died by suicide.
