A former Minneapolis police officer was sentenced Friday to one year in the Hennepin County workhouse after he admitted to sending naked photos of himself to underage girls, the Star Tribune reported.

Bradley Schnickel, 33, of Andover was initially charged in Hennepin County with four felony counts of soliciting minors. He pleaded guilty in June to two counts as part of a plea deal.

Schnickel also faces 14 charges in Anoka County related to online sex crimes involving 20 underage girls, ages 11 to 16, and coercing several of the alleged victims into having sexual encounters with him.

Investigators say Schnickel met many of the girls on social media and used police equipment to track them down in some cases, FOX 9 reported.

Schnickel goes to trial in that case in February.
