Ex-student robbed at gunpoint on University of Minnesota campus

Three males wearing ski masks robbed a person at gunpoint on the University of Minnesota East Bank campus Sunday night.

The incident happened near the intersection of Pleasant Street SE and Pillsbury Drive SE, across from the freshmen admissions building Jones Hall, at around 11 p.m.

The victim, a former U of M student, was walking north along the west side of Pleasant Street SE and was approached by three males wearing ski masks and dark clothing.

Two of the males assaulted the victim while a third was wielding a handgun.

They stole the victim's wallet and fled eastbound from the area. They are described as being in their late teens, but the victim didn't have any additional details.

Anyone with information is asked to call the U of M Police Department on 612-624-2677, with the reference UM-2019-105053.
