The four victims of a single-car crash in Austin, Minnesota, last week have been identified as a family of four.

Relatives confirmed their identities to ABC 6 News as Lance Eastman, Kala Klaus and Tessla and Rayden Eastman. Lance Eastman was 28 years old, Klaus was 25 and their children were ages 3 and 1, according to the Star Tribune

Austin Police Department reported that the family was traveling together around 6 p.m. last Thursday when their vehicle left the road on 11th Ave. SW, went through a grove of trees and down an embankment before coming to a rest on 2nd Drive SW.

First responders arrived at the scene to find the vehicle on fire and no signs of life.

"This is an incredibly tragic event and our Department extends its condolences to the affected families and friends of the deceased," Austin Police Chief David McKichan said in a statement.

No further information about what caused the crash has been released.
