Farmer fatally attacked by cow in southeastern Minnesota

The man was assisting the cow during a birthing process.

A farmer was attacked and killed by a cow in southeastern Minnesota last weekend. 

The accident took place last Sunday night at a farm in Houston County, with the sheriff's office reporting that a 66-year-old man at a farm off of Jefferson Road was attacked by a cow as he tried to help the cow birth a calf. 

Richard Wagner sustained significant injuries and was taken to Mayo Clinic Health System in La Crosse where he died. 

No further information has been released.
