Farming accident kills Minnesota man in Stearns County

He was pinned between a backhoe bucket and a utility trailer.

A central Minnesota man was killed in a farming accident last Friday, according to a release from the Stearns County Sheriff's Office. 

The accident was reported around 3:30 p.m. at the 34000 block of 260th St. in Lake Henry Township, which is located southwest of St. Cloud and north/northeast of Willmar. 

According to the release, a 31-year-old Belgrade man found James Logan, 42, of Belgrade, pinned between a backhoe bucket and a utility trailer. 

First responders arrived and found Logan unresponsive, and despite life-saving efforts, Logan was pronounced dead at the scene. 

An investigation is ongoing to determine what led up to the fatal incident.
