Fatal crash involving SUV, ATV in southwest Minnesota

The Redwood County Sheriff's Office and the Minnesota State Patrol are investigating a fatal crash involving the driver of a SUV and an individual riding an ATV. 

According to the sheriff's office, the crash happened just after 12:50 p.m. Saturday on CSAH 6 at 230th St. in Vail Township, which is near Wabasso. The report says a Polaris Ranger ATV overturned after being struck in the intersection by the driver of a Dodge Durango. 

The ATV rider, who has not been identified, suffered fatal injuries in the collision. 

The driver of the Durango was a 56-year-old Wabasso woman. 

The crash remains under investigation. No further details have been provided.
