Fatal crash under investigation on Highway 65 in Isanti County

The crash happened just after 7 o'clock Tuesday morning.

At least one person is dead following a crash Tuesday morning in Isanti County. 

The two-vehicle collision happened at approximately 7:05 a.m. on Hwy. 65 near 269th Ave. in Athens Township, which is about a mile south of Isanti. 

The State Patrol reports that the driver of a Ford Taurus was westbound when it was broadsided by a northbound Toyota RAV4.

The number of people impacted in the crash hasn't been released, with the State Patrol only identifying it as a fatal crash at this point. 

This is a developing story.
