Female dies after being run over by vehicle following dispute in Maplewood

The age and identity of the victim have not been released.

One person was fatally struck by a vehicle early Monday morning following a dispute in Maplewood. 

The deadly incident happened at approximately 12:43 a.m. in the area of Londin Lane and Crestview Drive, with Maplewood Police Department issuing a release saying officers and fire department personnel arrived at the scene and found a female victim who had been hit by the vehicle lying in the roadway. 

Paramedics attempted lifesaving measures but the victim was pronounced dead at the scene. 

Her age and identity have not been released. 

Police say the fatal crash happened after "a dispute of some type had taken place, possibly between the deceased and another person." An investigation has begun and is being assisted by the Minnesota Bureau of Criminal Apprehension. 

It is not clear if the driver stayed at the scene. 

More information will be released as it becomes available, Maplewood PD said.
