A Fergus Falls man was sentenced to five years in prison Wednesday for a felony DWI conviction. Richard Papenfuss, 62, has over 20 DWI arrests on his record and has already served prison time for a previous DWI. In the Twin Cities, a Plymouth woman was arrested Thursday morning for probable cause DWI. She had already served prison time for hitting a killing a man in 2010.

Man gets $25,000 after 10 years in prison for crime he didn't commit
A man from Duluth was convicted of sexually assaulting a child, but 20 years later, the alleged victim admitted he lied. The man asked for $3.65 million in compensation for the 10 years he spent locked up, but the Wisconsin Claims Board can only reward a maximum of $25,000. That works out to roughly $6.85 a day. The board can ask the state to vote to exceed that cap, but did not.
