Police in St. Cloud are still searching for one of two students accused of sending another student to the hospital during a fight.

According to a release, the fight took place at Apollo High School in St. Cloud and was reported at 12:44 p.m. Thursday. The incident started with two students fighting in a hallway before spilling outside with a third student joining in the fight.

Staff and the school resource officer intervened, but two male students assaulted an 18-year-old boy and left him with non-life-threatening injuries serious enough that he was transported to St. Cloud Hospital for treatment.

The two students accused of assaulting him are both 15 years old. One of them was arrested on assault charges at the scene and taken to a juvenile detention center. The other 15 year old fled the scene and has yet to be located.

An alleged video of the fight was posted to social media showing one of the teens involved stomping and kicking another student in the head while he is on the ground.

District 742 released the following statement about the fight:

"A serious altercation between three students occurred at Apollo High School today, and the school’s well-trained staff promptly responded to the incident. Incidences of violence will not be tolerated in our schools, and the district will continue to provide an environment where learning is paramount and safety assured."

Apollo High School took precautionary security measures during the fight and went into containment for a short period.

An investigation into the altercation is ongoing.
