St. Paul police are looking for the driver of the vehicle that slammed into a local home, causing an overnight fire that engulfed both house and car.
No one was home at the East Hoyt Avenue residence when the car struck it late Saturday night, according to the Twitter account of the St. Paul Fire Department.
The driver is said to have fled the scene.
Firefighters were able to contain the blaze quickly, with the Pioneer Press reporting it took them about 15 minutes to douse the flames once they'd searched the house for victims.
The paper says it is still unclear what may have caused the suspected driver to crash into the home.
According to KSTP, fire officials report the car had slammed into the home's gas meter.
There were no known injuries.
Authorities are investigating.
