Firefighters in Minneapolis spent the overnight hours into early Monday morning battling a three-alarm fire at a three-story building.
The fire at the corner of Chicago Avenue South and East Lake Street was reported around 10:30 p.m. Sunday and fire crews worked through the night to put it out.
As of 9 a.m. Monday, crews were still working to put out some remaining hot spots.
The building housed apartments and a number of businesses, including:
- Galaxy Wireless Phone Repair Specialists
- Michael's Hip Hop Shop
- Patricia Hair Braiding & Accessories
- Rene's Latin Dance & Music Studio
- Twin Cities Drivers License Rehab
- Marisqueria Mar Y'Tierra
WCCO reports that several businesses and apartments were destroyed, but it's unclear if the building was a total loss.
