Multiple fire crews battled a massive blaze at a grain elevator fire in Ada, Minn., Thursday night that witnesses said could be seen from six miles away. No injuries were reported.

After three hours, the 100-foot Triple Crown Nutrition structure collapsed at its site in the northwestern Minnesota town of about 1,700, WDAY reported.

An adjacent building where oats and other feed mixture are stored was also left in smoldering ruins, the station reported.

At least 13 fire departments spent four hours bringing the blaze under control in sub-freezing temperatures. A cause was not immediately determined.

Ada's water supply was drained dry twice as crews pumped thousands of gallons of water on the fire, KFGO reported. Tanker trucks retrieved water from nearby Hendrum and Twin Valley, the station reported.

In the southeast corner of the state, crews early Friday were battling a warehouse fire, KAAL reported. A witness said the blaze about 6 miles south of Austin was at a 2-year-old eBay sorting warehouse with furniture, collectibles, motorcycles and other items inside.

As many as 5,000 items may have been destroyed, the Austin Daily Herald reports.

Yet another blaze burned a barn to the ground near Alexandria early Friday, the Echo Press reported.
