A bar and a home brewing store in Perham, Minnesota, were destroyed by fire on Sunday morning.

The fire was first reported at 5:47 a.m. after heavy smoke was seen coming from the roof of Suds Tavern at 145 1st Ave S, the Bemidji Pioneer reports.

The fire then spread to the adjacent building, which is home to the Make Me Wine home brewing supplies and gift store.

Both the buildings are total losses, Suds Tavern confirmed on its Facebook page.

"As the future is unknown we appreciate all the great memories with all of our great customers!" it wrote.

"We will miss being there over this holiday season for you. Thank you everyone for your thoughts during this difficult time."

The Pioneer notes that both are very popular establishments in Perham. At this stage, it's not clear what started the fire.
