Fire crews have contained a blaze that erupted inside a building at Wild Mountain in Taylors Falls, Minnesota, early Tuesday morning.
No one was injured in the fire, which was contained to Wild Mountain's maintenance building, with Wild Mountain announcing on social media that "the outcome may have been far worse" if not for the quick response by firefighters and police.
"Although we have lost many of the tools and machinery inside the building, we are happy to report that no one was hurt. Additionally, the fire was contained to our maintenance building and it did not effect our base lodge or other structures," Wild Mountain's Facebook page says.
It's unclear if damage from the fire will affect summer operations that include a popular waterpark, go-karts and freefall activities.
"Our team will need to assess the damage and begin to formulate a plan to rebuild the structure over the coming months. Additionally, we will need a few days to understand if, or how, this event will effect our summer operations," Wild Mountain announced.
Winter activities – ski, snowboard and snow tubing – for the 2021-22 season are unlikely to be significantly affected.
Wild Mountain is also a popular venue for weddings and receptions.
The cause of the fire has not been disclosed.
